When the skin becomes overly inflamed it respsnds by increasing the production of melanin. Melanin is a pigment in our skin that is designed to protect the skin primarily from UVA and UVB exposure.

Most hyperpigmentation creams and lotions work by suppressing the over production of melanin that creates localised areas of darker pigmentaion.

Featuring a new melanin inhibiting peptide Luminosa is a potent and effective treatment for age spots, sun spots, and uneven skin tone (hyperpigmentation) arising from sun damage.

Ideal for:

- Melasma - dark patches usually arising during pregnancy or can result after taking oral contraceptives or HRT

- Chloasma (as above)

- Hyper-pigmentation - skin discolouration, blemishes, or darkened patches usually arising from inflammation (sun damage etc)

- Blemishes resulting from acne outbreaks

- Freckles, blemishes arising from over exposure to sunlight

- Age spots sometimes known as liver spots due to their colour.

Please Note: this is not a skin bleaching cream. It will not lighten the skin beyond its genetically pre-determined colour. It's 'lightening' properties refer to its ability to restore the actual tone of areas of skin that are darker than they ought to be.
